Henry A. Copeland
President
|
Henry A. Copeland, President of Star Data Systems is also President of PTT Systems, Inc. and head of North American Sales and Support for Pulse Train, Ltd. With 150 clients in 25 countries, Pulse Train, Ltd. Is a leading supplier of CATI and CAPI and Worldwide Web interviewing software to Marketing Research firms and Survey Research Organizations around the world.
As Pulse Train’s North American Sales and Support agent, Henry Copeland is knowledgeable about international marketing research issues, computer hardware, and the latest research software available for CATI, CAPI, Web Interviewing and Scanning.
Mr. Copeland is a cum-laude graduate of the Indiana University School of Business with a major in marketing. He continued his education at IU in the MBA Program and began his research career in 1969 conducting and co-authoring a weekly nationally-syndicated poll of college students carried in over 100 newspapers around the U.S. entitled Campus Opinion.
After serving in various media and marketing research and management consulting positions with Opinion Research Corporation and the Management Consulting Division of the Austin Company, Mr. Copeland served as Vice President and General Manager of CRC Information Systems' Chicago office. In 1986 Mr. Copeland left CRC to found Star Data Systems, Inc. in Chicago.

Howard M. Kirsch

Howard Kirsch has been in the
tabulation and market research business for over 30 years. In
May 1986, Howard Kirsch co-founded Star Data Systems, Inc.
As Vice President, Howard has been in charge of the Chicago
office since 1991, and in that capacity, Howard has the
responsibility of developing new prospective business, servicing
existing accounts, client contact, hands-on experience with
complicated large studies involving extensive data editing and
data manipulation, production work in setting up client
projects, managing work force and running the day-to-day
business operations in Chicago.
From February 1985 – April 1986 Howard worked at Ad Factors
Market Research as Sales Manager for their new
business-to-business and consumer telemarketing operations.
After college graduation in 1969 from DePaul University, Howard
joined Datatab, Inc., a market research tabulation firm. He was
with Datatab for over 15 years from 1970-1985 handling different
responsibilities;
- Vice President of Sales –
developed new business
- Account representative –
servicing existing accounts/client contact
- Manager – managing a
department of 8 – 15 employees
- Project director – doing
production work on projects

John Copeland
Scanning Manager |
|
John Copeland has been scanning manager at
Star Data Systems since its inception. He is
skilled in questionnaire design, formatting and layout to
make them aesthetically attractive for respondents, as well
as making them acceptable for efficient scanning. He has
traveled to Pulse Train’s headquarters in England to receive
in depth training on the Bellview Scan system. He also
travels to client sites to provide training and technical
support in the scanning software for those clients who have
elected to buy or lease Bellview Scan. Through his
production experience, he has been instrumental in a number
of upgrades and improvements to Bellview Scan.
John spent 22 years as a member of the United
States Air Force, working as an Inventory Manager. His
experience working with the Procedures Unit, Document
Control, and the USAF Data Entry units have proven to be
valuable assets to his position at Star Data Systems.

Sharon Ventura
Call Center Manager |
Sharon’s career spans over 15 years in the Call Center industry along with a strong knowledge of Insurance, e-Commerce and Banking industries. She brings extensive management expertise in many phases of Call Center Operations including training, forecasting, resource allocation, quality assurance and employee development. Sharon has led teams through start-up, existence, turnaround and growth modes.
Prior to joining Star Data Systems, Sharon served as Call Center Manager for an e-Business transaction processing company where she implemented the design of a quality assurance program, call management system, employee recognition as well as employee development programs.
In leading our highly skilled call center team, Sharon Ventura is responsible for delivering superior customer satisfaction.

Robert J. Galiano
IT Manager |
|
Robert J. Galiano is our newest member of the
Star Data Systems team. He is a cum laude graduate of Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY
with a BS in Computer Science, a minor in Mathematics and a member of the Tau Beta PI
National Honor Society for engineers and scientists. Bob comes to us with over 25 years
of experience in Information Technology. He spent over 16 years in the Aerospace industry
working for Pratt and Whitney as a simulation modeling programmer for the F100-220 jet
engine program. He then spent time in the food industry as a Production Operations Manager.
His last position was in Market Research as Project Manager for financial institution surveys
utilizing the Bellview CATI system.
